Apple Vision Pro Received Almost 200,000 Pre-Orders
It has been reported that Apple Vision Pro, which was made available for pre-order on January 19th, ahead of its official sale on February 2nd, has pushed the sales figure close to 200,000 units at this stage. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the estimated number of Vision Pro units sold in pre-orders is between 160,000 and 180,000.
However, Ming-Chi Kuo also mentions that the demand for Vision Pro could rapidly decrease over time. The reason behind this is the product's $3,500 price tag, which puts it out of reach for most potential users. Nonetheless, Apple plans to produce and sell approximately half a million units of Vision Pro.
Moreover, the high price tag is not the only factor making access to Vision Pro difficult. According to some claims, the repair cost of Vision Pro in case of damage could reach staggering amounts like $2,400, which is also a significant consideration for consumers in their decision-making process. Even the announcement that YouTube and Spotify will not provide app support for Vision Pro seems to have deterred many consumers on its own.
