Facebook Adapts to Generation Z in Design
Social media platform Facebook has announced a new page design. Aiming to keep Generation Z on the platform more, the new design will feature local information, videos, and groups much more prominently.
The new “Local” tab will consolidate tabs for local happenings, such as “Marketplace” and “Events” into a single section, displaying nearby events, communities, and items for sale.
Groups will also gain features that allow users to ask questions to AI, while the “Explore” tab will offer personalized content recommendations based on user interests and aim to increase time spent on the platform. The “Video” tab will be transformed into a full-screen video player that allows users to watch short, long, and live videos.
