The November 8 lunar eclipse, which was watched with bated breath around the world, also gave an unmissable opportunity for marketers to build campaigns. Fanta, one of the brands who saw this as an opportunity, came up with a creative approach by identifying the moon's transformation from its normal color to orange during the eclipse using its own product. The social media campaign, which attracted a lot of attention, was prepared by Wunderman Thompson.

 

In the commercial, Fanta turned the moon into a huge vending machine. Users who shared the photo of the moon, which turned orange, on their accounts with the #Fantamoon tag created on social media, were given the opportunity to win free Fanta. Users who wanted to take advantage of this opportunity obtained their gift Fantas from McDonald's and 7-Eleven branches.
