Google's Two-Sided Keyboard
Google's Two-Sided Keyboard
Every year, the Google Japan team challenges the design of Gboard keyboards and focuses on developing a new and different keyboard interface. Each year, they do this with a different satire. This year's keyboard, the Gboard Double-Sided Version, is a double-sided circular keyboard inspired by the Möbius strip, with one side rotated 180 degrees and joined together.
The keys on the keyboard can be customized as desired and transformed into a steering wheel-like object that can be used simultaneously with the team. Thus, it is possible to write code together, hand to hand. Imagine sitting at a round table in a cafe and writing something together. Isn't it a great feeling?
The Google Japan team thought of this keyboard not only as a digital input interface but also as an aesthetic object that can be integrated into daily life. For example, you could display the keyboard in a stylish spot in your living room or use it as a slightly loose bracelet.
