News That Makes YouTube Creators Happy: No Dislike Button on Content Anymore
In a November statement, Youtube noted that content producers were being victimized by the dislike button and announced a new change to the dislike button. The change made will hide the dislike numbers in all videos. Although this feature is a nice thing for content creators, users were not happy about it. The likes and dislikes on the content gave users an impression of the content. This way, users could indicate their dislikes and likes with this button and show their reactions.
With the new feature, users can now react to videos with emoji. With the “Timed Reactions” feature, users can instantly leave different emojis such as laughter, heart, surprised face at the desired location of the video. Of course, it is not visible to which user the emojis belong.
Since this feature is still in the testing phase, it is not used in every video. But if you come across an active video, you can leave any emoji by touching the reaction box in the comment section. You can also see the reactions of other users in the same field.
About the new feature, the company said, "We know the community is important to you. That's why we are committed to offering more features that strengthen the sense of community on YouTube. Have fun with the timed reactions and let us know what you think in the comments." He also stated that the feature will be available globally in the near future.
