NFT Step from Instagram
NFT Step from Instagram
After Twitter, which recently introduced the NFT feature, another move came from Instagram. Mark Zuckerberg announced on Instagram that they would start using NFT.
"We are starting to test digital collections on Instagram so creators and collectors can showcase their NFTs on their profiles." The new feature will offer functions such as creating, viewing and selling NFTs and following users' favorite artists.
The data show that NFTs appear first in the posts, stories, and news stories of a particular group. NFTs are referred to as "digital collectibles." A user who touches the so-called digital collectibles can view the relevant details. NFTs are also displayed in the mainstream.
According to Christine Pai, spokesperson for Meta, NFTs mounted on the Ethereum and Polygon blockchains will be supported first. After that, Solana and Flow NFTs will be integrated into the platform. MetaMask will also offer support for crypto wallets such as TrustWallet.
Within the scope of this feature, it was emphasized that the technology can reach a wider audience with the support of NTFs on Instagram. "We believe that NFTs will be interesting not only for the creators of NFT art, but also for people who are interested in it," Mosseri said.
The feature will be available to all users globally in the near future.
