Walmart Will Offer Its Products With Live Broadcast
In the growing and evolving digital world, new experiences are created every day and our habits change accordingly. One of these habits is online shopping, which is becoming increasingly popular in this age of pandemic. Now it seems that online shopping is being replaced by live shopping.
So what is this live stream exchange for those who have never heard or seen it? It is a marketing strategy in which a brand's products are purchased live through a well-known celebrity in the form of a video broadcast on digital platforms. Many brands have started to adopt and implement this marketing strategy.
Walmart, the major U.S. grocery chain, has announced it will launch a live shopping experience with retailers in partnership with social shopping platform Talkshoplive. The brand has already hosted the first shoppable live shopping stream on Twitter with singer and songwriter Jason Derulo.
This collaboration with Talkshoplive includes live-streaming shows and many different names that lead to positive sales results. The brand offers its consumers a modern shopping experience by adapting to the growing trend of live broadcasts on social media that focus on shopping. Walmart's live broadcasts with Talkshoplive allow viewers to store live by interacting directly with the show's hosts without leaving the live stream.
"Walmart continues to focus on meeting customers where they are and making it easy for them to shop," said Case Schlaybaugh, Walmart vice president of brand.
Talkshoplive CEO and co-founder Bryan Moore, on the other hand, said the collaboration will allow Walmart to "work seamlessly with publishers, authors and suppliers to drive sales - ultimately increasing revenue, building customer loyalty and creating the shopping experience everyone is talking about."
