What's New on Instagram
Two new interesting features are being tested on Instagram this month. The first is "Repost," which lets you share other users' posts on your own profile, and the other is "Gifts," a tap-like feature familiar to TikTok and Twitter. Let us now take a closer look at both features.
The feature, recently unveiled by Matt Navarre, was discovered by Alessandro Paluzzi on May 12. Talks that the repost feature was being tested were also confirmed by Instagram executives.
A spokesperson for Instagram's parent company Meta said they are testing a new feature that allows re-sharing in the stream, similar to Stories. The Meta spokesperson added that the test will be opened to a limited number of users soon.
Another development is the donation-like "Gift" feature, which will allow content producers to generate income through Reels. A button in the lower left corner of Reels will allow users to make gifts to their favorite content producers. In this way, content production and content producers will be supported.
