Instagram has announced that it will roll out a new feature that will allow users to reset their recommendation algorithms. Instagram is introducing an “algorithm reset” feature for users who are not satisfied with their discovery and are tired of seeing the same content over and over again. With this new feature, Instagram users will have the opportunity to reset the suggestions they see on Explore, Reels, and Feed pages.

Instagram President Adam Mosseri said, “We are testing a way for users to reset the content recommendations they see in Explore, Reels, and Feed when they want to start fresh. After resetting, your recommendations will become personalized again over time, showing new content based on the content and accounts you interact with.”

Meta said the change is designed to ensure that younger users, in particular, see more relevant content. This feature, which is still in the testing phase, will be accessible from the settings menu when it becomes available.
