Instagram Announces New Features to Protect Young Users

Instagram has announced that it will be more selective about the content it recommends to its teenage users and will encourage teens who use the app for long periods of time to take a break.

Adam Mosseri, Instagram's president, said in a statement published on the company's website that they are making changes to the app to protect adolescents. Mosseri emphasized that the content and accounts that Instagram shows to young users will be more strictly controlled.

In his statement, Mosseri pointed out that young people who use the program for a certain period of time will be encouraged to take a break thanks to the new "take a break" feature they brought to the platform for young people. He stated that this feature, which has been activated in the USA, UK, Australia, and Canada, will start in other countries at the beginning of the year.
