Instagram Introduces Two New Features
Instagram has introduced two new features for its users. With the first feature, Instagram users will now be able to share live locations just like WhatsApp. This new feature can only be used in individual messaging and group chats. The shared locations are limited to one hour and automatically end when the time expires. Users will also have the option to pin a point on a map to coordinate meetings.
With this new feature offered by Instagram, only the people in the chat can see your location; location information is not carried over to other chats. At the same time, the app provides a notification to let users know when location sharing starts and ends.
With Instagram's second feature, users can now use nicknames in chats. With this feature, Instagram allows users to personalize their chats. Instagram's new nickname feature allows users to use new nicknames for themselves and their friends in individual or group chats. The Nickname used in the chat only appears in DMs and is not accessible from outside.
