Zoom continues to develop its artificial intelligence-powered assistant, Zoom AI Companion. Following the integration of Anthropic's AI chatbot Claude into the platform, this service offered to users will soon come with expanded capabilities.

AI Companion will not require an additional fee for Zoom's paid subscribers. Users will be able to utilize AI Companion in various features, such as Team Chat, Meetings, Phone, Email, and Whiteboard. Additionally, users can make use of the new features that will be introduced to the platform in the future.

Among the new features are practical functions like answering questions related to meeting attendance times, highlighting meeting recordings, and enabling them to be divided into smart sections. Furthermore, automatic meeting summaries will also be provided to users. However, these features will require meeting hosts to activate them.

AI Companion will assist users in providing performance feedback during meetings and improving their speaking and presentation skills. While developing this artificial intelligence feature, Zoom utilizes not only its own large/expansive language model but also Meta's Llama 2 model, Open AI, and Anthropic's models.

Other updates, including production AI summaries for Team Chat, will be rolled out to users in the coming weeks. In the early months of 2024, AI Companion will offer users the ability to complete sentences and schedule meetings. Zoom clarifies that it will not use customer voices, videos, or similar materials while training its AI model.

Zoom AI Companion aims to enhance users' experiences on the Zoom platform, making it more efficient and effective. With these developments, users will be able to utilize Zoom as a more effective communication tool.
