WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to transcribe voice messages on Android after iOS. WhatsApp is gradually introducing this feature, which is very useful for situations where voice messages cannot be listened to by its users. Thanks to the feature that will be available in the coming weeks, you will be able to see the content of the message in writing right below the voice messages you cannot listen to.

Making a statement on this subject, WhatsApp said the following about its new feature: “Sometimes, when you are on the go or receive a long voicemail, you may not be able to stop and listen. We are excited to announce that you can use voice message transcripts for these moments. No matter what you are doing at the time, you can transcribe voicemails to keep the conversation going.”

The new feature will gradually roll out globally in a small number of languages. For now, only English, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian are supported, but more languages will be added in the coming months.
