Instagram has rolled out the feature it announced last year -the ability to reorder posts in the profile grid- worldwide. With this new feature, users will no longer be limited to displaying their posts solely by publication date. This allows for a more flexible arrangement of the profile layout.

Thanks to this update, users can access the “Reorder Grid” option by long-pressing any post on their profile. This option is located between the “Pin to Top” and “Archive” options. In the new screen that opens, posts can be repositioned using drag-and-drop.

The feature is seen as a significant innovation, particularly for content creators, brands, and accounts that use their profiles as portfolios. Users will now be able to update their profile layouts without deleting or reposting their old content. This change is viewed as one of the latest steps toward transforming Instagram profiles from a chronological feed into a personalized showcase.
