The Mother and Child Education Foundation (AÇEV) has added a new initiative to its efforts to ensure that children start life with equal opportunities from an early age. The foundation, which has been supporting children whose development is at risk due to social and economic disadvantages for over 30 years, has launched the “My First School Bag” campaign for children about to start primary school.

The backpacks, prepared especially for children in need in the earthquake zone, contain stationery supplies as well as basic items such as lunch boxes and water bottles. These materials, carefully selected by AÇEV experts, contribute to children feeling safe, prepared, and motivated on their first day of school.

As emphasized by AÇEV General Manager Senem Başyurt, the goal is for every child to start school under equal conditions and experience the same excitement. Individuals and institutions can support this meaningful project by making donations through www.acev.org, thereby contributing to more children receiving their “first school bag.”
