New Features Coming to Instagram
New Features Coming to Instagram
Instagram is one of the most preferred photo and video sharing applications in the world and has recently announced many new features for its users. It seems that the application will make its users happy with its innovations.
Among the innovations made, it can be said that Meta has improved the Reels feature, reels stabilization, one-touch Instagram profile photo enlargement, and repost features. Although some of the developments have already been included in our lives, some of them are still not fully incorporated into the platform. Let's take a closer look at these developments.
New Tags Coming to Instagram Reels and Reels Duration
One of the most important developments on Reels is that Reels on Instagram will support polls, emojis, and questions. These tags in the Stories section of Facebook and Instagram are known to increase the interaction of the content.
Another improvement will be in the duration of reels. As it is known, it increased the video duration of Tiktok's video posts to 10 minutes. On the other hand, Meta, on the other hand, announced that it will change the duration of Instagram Reels, increasing the duration of Reels from 60 seconds to 90 seconds.
Meta will not only focus on Instagram Reels but will also strengthen Facebook Reels. It was also stated that Reels producers are working on a desktop tool that can create Reels by taking sections from live and recorded videos. In this way, it will be possible to plan to share and organize sounds in more detail.
Facebook will put more Reels in front of its users, so Facebook users will see more Reels posts. This will encourage Instagram Reels producers to share them on Facebook as well.
Reels To Pin To The Top Of Your Profile.
Instagram announced the feature of pinning Reels shares to the profile with a tweet. According to the statement made on Twitter, Instagram users will be able to pin their shared Reels videos to the top of the Reel tab.
A total of 3 Reels videos will be able to remain fixed, and the other Reels videos will be ordered as before, continuing from the next line.
Users will be able to do this with the "Pin to profile" button. For this, after opening the Reels video, it will be enough to click on the three dots in the upper right.
The One-Touch Enlargement Feature of Profile Photos
In a video shared by Alessandro Paluzzi, it is seen that when Paluzzi touched the profile photo on his page, the profile photo came to the screen in a larger form and disappeared after touching the screen again.
The enlargement of profile photos is said to be related to NFT. It is said that Instagram is interested in NFTs and that there will be a tab where NFT profile photos will be brought to the platform and displayed. We can say that users with NFT profile photos will be pleased to have a closer look at their photos.
Repost Feature
In making posts about the new features of social media applications, Paluzzi shared screenshots of Instagram's repost feature with his followers.
As we understand from Paluzzi's posts, the report button is located under the share menu. We will be able to view the repost shares made on the repost tab of the user's profile.
Thanks to the repost feature, we will be able to re-share the content that has been shared by other users before on Instagram. With this feature, Instagram will also prevent the use of third-party applications.
