Instagram has added three new features to the platform for Valentine's Day on February 14. The “mention” tool used when sharing stories has been updated, allowing users to tag their partners with heart icons. That adds a thematic visual layer to the classic mention feature.

Two new fonts have also been made available for Stories. These fonts enable messages to be written in a more romantic style. Design choices focus on ensuring text-based content aligns with the theme of the day. The user experience is adapted to the season's atmosphere through simple interface changes.

Valentine's Day-themed background options have also been added to the notes section in the private messages area. Shared notes are displayed in thematic colors. When another user clicks on a note, an Eros animation appears on the screen. The platform aims to increase engagement with limited-time features.
