Instagram has announced a series of new features aimed at simplifying the user experience. When watching Reels, you no longer need to hold down to pause the video - playback can now be controlled with a single tap. While this change may seem minor, it aims to provide a more seamless experience when consuming content.

There’s also a notable update on the comments side. Whereas previously you had to delete and rewrite a comment to correct a mistake, you can now update an existing comment using the “edit” option. This feature makes it easy to correct small mistakes, especially during quick interactions.

The messaging experience has also become more flexible. Users can now respond to messages received via DM by adding stickers, GIFs, and emojis. These updates transform in-app communication into a more dynamic and expression-focused format.
