Instagram has launched a new feature that directly impacts story usage. Shared Stories can now be reposted without the need for additional tagging or permission. This update offers a more fluid sharing structure that increases the circulation speed of stories.

When viewing a story, clicking the “Share” button in the bottom right corner of the screen opens a window with the option “Add to Story.” Clicking this allows all Stories from public accounts to be reposted directly. The feature is active for both individual and brand accounts.
