Meta has announced new features aimed at making group chats on WhatsApp more functional. The updates focus on various use cases, such as managing polls, reaching everyone in the group at the same time, and quickly starting new chats with specific members.

With new options added to polls, users can now set an end time for votes, hide the names of voters, and edit poll questions within 15 minutes. Additionally, the new @everyone feature allows time-sensitive announcements to be sent to all group members without having to tag them individually. In large groups, this capability is planned to be granted only to administrators.

Another new feature is quick group chats. Users will be able to start a separate chat with specific members of an existing group with a single tap. These new features build on previous updates WhatsApp has introduced, such as group message history, member tags, and event reminders.
