Twitter Is Currently Working on a New Option Called ‘Articles’ to Enable Long-Form Posts in the App
As we all know, thanks to Twitter, an instant message sharing application focused on microblogging, you can create short messages called “tweets” and share them with your followers. Unlike other popular social media applications, Twitter has a 280 characters limit. Although the character limit seems to be an annoying situation for the user, this is the most important feature that distinguishes Twitter from other applications.
For a long time, Twitter’s been trying to work out the best way to enable people to share more extensive comments. In 2016, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey announced that the company was looking for potential options to provide longer posts in tweets, resulting in the tweet length being expanded to 280 characters. Now, Twitter is currently working on a new option called ‘Articles’, which appears to provide a means to create blog posts within the app, which would then, you would assume, be shareable, in some form, via tweet without any character limit.
With this feature, users will now be able to send their tweets without being tied to a character limit as before. While Twitter is famous for its easy and fast use, user comments after this update are a matter of curiosity. On the other hand, although Twitter has not made an official statement on the subject yet, Twitter seems to start a new era with this feature.
