Offering a renewed design for iOS and Android, WhatsApp officially announced its latest update. With the update in question, the platform continued to adopt green as the dominant color but made some changes in its use.

According to the statement made by WhatsApp, the contrast and tones of the colors were changed because users who preferred Dark Mode wanted a darker mode. In addition, a softer style was adopted in icons and drawings.

“The work we do at WhatsApp shapes the way more than two billion people around the world communicate every day,” Meta said in a statement. “We take this role seriously and focus on the details to do the right thing for our users.”
